KNOT CONFERENCE
FKJDHFKJS
The Knot Conference, with 6 speakers, 3 workshops, and 6 panelists, is all about helping people make a difference by showing how design and community are connected. Its goal is to give attendees the knowledge and tools they need to improve their communities by explaining how design and community development work together. Through carefully planned activities, participants learn about design thinking and community change, which helps them come up with ways to make a real difference in society.
This is done by gradually introducing these ideas to attendees and showing how they work together by the end of the conference. The Knot Conference took place on April 27, 2024, at Chiquola Studios in Downtown Anderson, SC. It was put together by the graphic design students of 2025 and offered a day full of inspiration and learning, all set in a cozy vintage hotel.
Overall, the conference aimed to teach people how to use design to make positive changes in their communities. Even though it was organized in just 45 days, the first Knot Conference showed how powerful design can be in transforming communities and set a strong example for future events.
